Biography of Yoko YAMAMOTO
1952 Born in April in Saitama Prefecture. Moved to Sakai-shi in Osaka in August.
1975 Received the 27th Kyoto Municipal Art Exhibition Purple Award.
First personal exhibition at the Art Core Gallery(Kyoto).
1976 First personal exhibition in Tokyo at Galleria Grafica. Recevied the 1st Art Core Award.
1977 Received the Best New Artist Award at the 2nd Kyoto PrefecturalExhibition of Western Paintings and Prints.
Received the Contest Award at the 2nd Contemporary Prints Concours.
1978 Completed Post-Graduate Course in Fine Art, Faculty of Fine Arts, Kyoto City University of Arts.
Received the Seibu Award at the 2nd Japanese Contemporary Prints Art Exhibition.
1980 Received the Kyoto City Art Best New Artist Award.
1983 Received the Excellence Award at the 4th International Biennal Exhibition of Prints Korea .
1992 Received the 23rd Kodansha Book Design Award for "L's Gift".
1997 Yr 7 Louis Vuitton "Travel Notebook" Original Prints Exhibition (10 locations domestically, Paris, Hamburg)
1998 Completion of mural at Sumida Triphony Hall (Tokyo). Coordinated Opera performance stage art and costume (Yokohama).
2000 Japanese Stage at the Hanover International Exhibition (Germany).
Produced the "Lantern Car Hotaru" at the PR booth of "EXPO 2005 Aichi"
2002 "Yoko Yamamoto-Amusement Park for Art" Exhibition (until 2003, Museum of Art, Kochi , Museum of Art, Wakayama, Museum of Art, Toyama, Urawa Art Museum and others, 10 locations total.)@
2003 Yoko Yamamoto-Bon Voyage-Exhibition (Paris, Tokyo, Nagoya, Fukuoka, Osaka)
2004 Displays at the "Modern Portrait" Exhibition (Urawa Art Museum) and "Time of My Life" (Tokyo Opera City Art Gallery).
